In Kyiv, the prosecutor's office has uncovered another scheme of illegal land acquisition. A local resident registered ownership of... a house that does not actually exist.
The fictitious property was allegedly located in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital. Based on this "property", the man also applied for documents for a land plot, the value of which is estimated at one and a half million hryvnias.
The land was municipally owned and was located within the Southern Historical Area of Kyiv — a territory with special status and restrictions on development.
The attempted raider seizure failed thanks to the intervention of the prosecutor's office. The Holosiivskyi District Court declared both the registration of ownership of the "ghost house" and the subsequent state registration of the land plot illegal.
