This morning, a serious traffic accident occurred near the "Vydubychi" metro station in Kyiv. The truck tore off the South Bridge, and its driver was injured.
As reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the city of Kyiv, the driver of the vehicle, born in 1973, lost control. As a result, the car broke through the fence and flew off the bridge.
According to the police, near the "Vydubychi" metro station, the truck broke off from the Southern Bridge.
"According to preliminary information, due to ill health, the driver of the Volvo truck lost control and fell off the bridge. The rescuers unblocked the truck driver and handed him over to medics. The man refused to be hospitalized," the State Emergency Service said.
Firefighters, as indicated, flushed the fuel from the roadway.
Law enforcement officials will determine the cause of the incident.
