Boryspil International Airport is negotiating with Wizz Air representatives to quickly recover flights after Ukraine opened. The meeting took place from February 11 to February 13 in Budapest, at the headquarters of the airline.
During the negotiations, the Ukrainian side informed the partners in detail:
- airport infrastructure;
- readiness of the aerodrome, terminals and technical support;
- compliance with certification requirements;
- qualification of staff;
- Security aspects of work recovery.
The words of the CEO of Boryspil Alexei Dubrevsky, the next important stage is the audit of the airport by Wizz Air. This is a key step before returning airlines to the Ukrainian market.
Wizz Air has a clear return plan
Wizz Air CEO Joseph Varada has previously stated that the airline is ready to restore flights to Kiev within six weeks after the airspace was opened . It also has an ambitious plan to carry 5 million passengers in the first year after work in Ukraine .
The Wizz Air delegation is expected to check Kyiv to check Boryspil Airport and a flight safety assessment in the near future.
