This morning, a traffic accident with the participation of a passenger bus, heading from Kiev to Chisinau, took place on the R-14 highway in Moldova. The accident injured 16 people who were hospitalized. The remaining 52 passengers were not seriously injured.
According to preliminary information, in the Floreste district near the village of Chipbikeu, the driver of the bus, which operated the Kiev -Kishinov flight and transported 68 passengers, was unable to control the vehicle on a slippery road. The bus overturned and hit the tree.
As a result of an accident, 16 people were injured in varying degrees of severity and were hospitalized at Florest and Soroka hospitals. The 35-year-old driver was not intoxicated. The rest of the passengers were not seriously damaged and were safely located in a local police inspectorate.
Police are currently investigating the causes of the accident.
