In connection with the new requirements, men with many children in Ukraine must now notarize that they really support their children in order to be entitled to deferment from mobilization.
This decision is aimed at ensuring transparency and accuracy of data regarding persons who claim deferment from mobilization.
"The conscript and the father of three minor children was found fit for military service. According to the mobilization law, he should automatically receive a deferment from mobilization. His children are born from two women, from whom the man is divorced while he is still alive, but continues to financially support the children. What did the TCC invent? They additionally require an agreement between the husband and his ex-spouse stating that he participates in the maintenance of his minor children," People's Deputy Ihor Fris said.
Government Resolution No. 560 mentions a written contract between parents, in which it is necessary to specify with whom the children will live and the degree of participation of the second parent in their upbringing.
Fries considers this requirement illegal.
"By this resolution, the government has introduced additional requirements for conscripts to confirm certain legal facts and documents, which is considered to exceed the norms and provisions of the law on mobilization," said the people's deputy.
