The owners of the jewelry company organized the illegal movement of luxury items across the state border of Ukraine, avoiding customs control. This is reported by the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB).
According to the results of the BEB investigation, the perpetrators smuggled in jewelry, diamonds, and Swiss watches while evading customs duties.
In the future, the goods were sold on the territory of Ukraine for cash or cryptocurrency through their own store, without paying taxes to the state budget.
Law enforcement officers conducted an authorized search of the Warsaw-Kyiv regular bus on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
During the searches, wristwatches of various well-known brands, pendants, bracelets, spare parts for watches, etc. were discovered and seized. The total value of the seized is over UAH 10 million.
During further searches at the places of residence of the accused and at the company's office, detectives also seized 46 Swiss watches of various brands, with a preliminary value of about UAH 25 million.
