According to media reports, the Cosmobet online casino, registered to the Neurolink company, has found itself at the center of criminal proceedings for attempted bribery - with the aim of legalizing and hiding traces of Russian jurisdiction.
In February 2025, PJSC MTB Bank sent an official request to the SBU: whether the beneficiary of the company, Mykhailo Zborovsky, and Neurolink itself are indeed not connected with the aggressor state or structures under sanctions.
A copy of the request fell into the hands of a National Police officer serving in the Internal Security Directorate. Taking advantage of the situation, he offered the company representative a $20,000 bribe in exchange for a “positive” certificate from the SBU, allegedly confirming the “clean” origin of the assets.
On April 2, 2025, a Cosmobet representative received the following certificate – No. 14/1/1-112, signed by the head of the SBU operational department. On the same day, the police officer received the cash.
Later, he was charged under Part 4 of Article 27 and Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – incitement to bribery and receiving unlawful benefits. The investigation is also investigating the possible role of Mykhailo Zborovsky as the initiator of the bribery.
Mykhailo Zborovsky himself deserves special attention. He previously worked for the Cypriot XGen Solutions LTD, an offshore company that appears in criminal proceedings No. 72023000500000026 as a partner of the sanctioned Cosmolot brand, associated with Russian businessman Sergey Tokarev. According to the Bureau of Economic Security, Cosmolot evaded taxes, faked advertising campaigns, and withdrew more than 4.5 billion hryvnias under the guise of returning deposits to players.
Cosmobet is nothing more than a rebranded Cosmolot operating through a dummy owner.
And the size of the bribe, which amounted to only $20,000, eloquently testifies: either we are not being told the whole truth about the circumstances of the case, or the National Police officer will now be punished for dumping.
