Bihus.Info journalists published their investigation on March 14, in which they noted the undeclared property of the head of the Kyiv metro, Viktor Braginskyi. According to their data, the total value of this property is about 52 million hryvnias.
In particular, it was discovered that Braginskyi's mother owns two two-room apartments in the White Lines residential complex, bought in January 2024 for about 10 million hryvnias each. She refused to explain the source of these funds. Also, his ex-wife, Olga Braginska, bought an apartment in the "Richmond" residential complex for 3 million hryvnias, and according to Bihus.Info, they continue to live together. In addition, Braginska owns a plot of land in Kozyna, valued at 29 million hryvnias, and in the past sold a plot of land to her sister for 2 million hryvnias, which was actually worth much less.
The value of Braginsky's undeclared property is equal to his salary for 40 years. It should be noted that on December 8, 2023, subway traffic between the Lybidska and Teremky stations in Kyiv was suspended due to the flooding of the tunnel, which led to the closure of the stations for passengers. The Podil District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv launched an investigation into this incident as official negligence, which had serious consequences.
After that, the movement of trains on the Obolonsko-Teremkivska subway line was resumed between the "Heroiv Dnipra" and "Lybidska" stations. And on December 13, a "shuttle" train movement was introduced between "Demiivska" and "Teremka".
On December 25, KP "Kyivskyi metropoliten" announced a tender without competition for project works on the repair of "Demiivska" and "Lybidska" stations in the amount of 21.2 million hryvnias.
It is also noted that for a long time Braginsky did not indicate his wife and children in his declaration, and only in 2020 were they included. Bihus.info found a two-room apartment with the wife of Olga Braginska, which is worth approximately 3 million hryvnias and is located next to the apartment of the head of the subway. The documents for the purchase of both apartments were drawn up on the same day, according to journalists. The woman is also building a country house on a plot of land in the elite village of Kozyn in the Kyiv region, which is valued at approximately $760,000.
In a comment for Bihus.info, Olga Braginska said that she had been divorced from Braginsky for 10 years, the apartments were bought in order because of the children they had together. The official himself refused to comment, but confirmed in writing that he divorced in 2013.
After the publication of the investigation, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko announced in Telegram on March 14 that Braginsky will be removed from the duties of the director of the Kyiv Metro or he himself will apply for dismissal. "Furthermore, the facts published in the investigation of Bihus.info journalists should be dealt with by relevant bodies. Law enforcement," Klitschko noted.
