More than 20 deputies missed more than 50% of the votes in the Verkhovna Rada during their term of office

Over the past five years, more than 20 people's deputies of Ukraine missed more than half of the voting in the Verkhovna Rada. One of the most resonant cases is the deputy Fedir Khristenko, who has not appeared in the parliament for almost three years, but still retains his deputy mandate.

This was reported by the analyst of the CHESNO movement Sofia Lazarova during the presentation of the study, which covered five years of work of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation. According to the results of the study, 23 People's Deputies missed more than 50% of votes during their term of office. Lazarova clarified that the majority of such deputies are among the OPZZ faction.

"For example, it is worth mentioning about Fedor Khristenko, a people's deputy from OPZZH, who has not appeared in the Verkhovna Rada for almost three years and despite this keeps his deputy's mandate," said Lazarova.

In addition, 11 deputies have been declared wanted, including Artem Dmytruk, Yaroslav Dubnevich, Andriy Odarchenko and Serhiy Shakhov, who are outside Ukraine. Some of these deputies are already abroad, for example, Dmytruk, who currently lives in London and actively broadcasts pro-Russian narratives.

Also, as Lazarova noted, at least 50 people's deputies of the 9th convocation were suspected of committing criminal offenses. In particular, 13 deputies were suspected of treason, and 33 - of corruption offenses.

This situation highlights serious problems with the performance of parliamentary duties in the Verkhovna Rada, as some elected officials not only ignore their duties, but also flee the country, keeping their mandates.

Bihus.Info journalists found out that one of the deputies who fled abroad, Artem Dmytruk, now lives in London and actively supports pro-Russian views, which raises even more questions about the moral and political responsibility of such persons.

Currently, the issue of deputy irresponsibility and non-fulfillment of duties remains relevant, and it requires attention from the public and law enforcement agencies.
