According to a recent poll by the Ronald Reagan Institute, 59% of Americans support the idea of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, even if it means prematurely conceding territory for Moscow’s use. This result has sparked significant debate both in Ukraine and among international experts regarding possible ways to resolve the war and prospects for stability in the region.
This is the opinion of both Trump supporters (63%) and Harris supporters (55%).
A relative majority (41%) believes that Russia will win the war at this point (45% among Trump voters). 24% believe that Ukraine will win (29% among Harris supporters, 21% for Trump). 22% believe that neither side will win.
There is a significant difference between Republicans and Democrats on the issue of arms supply - among Harris' supporters, 74% are in favor, while Trump's are only 42%.
Overall, more Americans support continuing military aid to Ukraine – 55% versus 35%. Although last year it was 59%.
Most often, opponents of aid justify this by saying that this war does not concern the United States – 33%.
A large percentage of Americans (78%) fear the war spreading to NATO countries, as well as the invasion of democratic countries by other authoritarian regimes (75%).
