The majority of Ukrainian refugees in Germany decided to stay

The President of the German State Office for Refugees, Mark Seibert, said that a significant part of Ukrainian refugees who found refuge in Germany due to the full-scale war no longer plan to return to their homeland. In his interview with the dpa agency, Seibert noted that many of them have begun to integrate into German society and make long-term plans for life.

He said that in the emergency center in Berlin, where thousands of Ukrainian refugees live, surveys are regularly conducted.

"A year and a half ago, most people said that they wanted to return to Ukraine. Now the majority - 65% - say: "We are staying here. We are getting ready," said Seibert.

Germany remains the leader in the number of accommodated refugees from Ukraine - more than 1.1 million people.
