The scandalous businessman and the unofficial "watch" for Kiev Denis Komarnitsky is no longer in Ukraine. NABU sources confirmed that he had crossed the border and is now unattainable for anti -corruption bodies. But the main question is not even how he escaped, but who helped him.
According to NABU representatives, without "assistance" of border guards, law enforcement officers or special services, Komarnytsky could not escape unnoticed. Now the establishment of the perpetrators will be another test for the Ukrainian law enforcement system, which has repeatedly proved its "flexibility" in such cases.
This case raises another sharp question - the role of Oleg Tatarov, the deputy chairman of the Presidential Office, who has been repeatedly accused of protecting corrupt officials. According to ZN.UA, the SBU once destroyed the operational materials on Komarnitsky, which proved the connection of corruption schemes in Kiev with high -ranking officials. Now the person involved in the "Clean City" has left Ukraine quietly - obviously, with the help of people who had to detain it.
What is known about NABU operation?
On February 6, NABU launched a large -scale anti -corruption operation "Clean City", which exposed the schemes in the Kyiv City Council and KSCA. The first victims of the investigation were:
- Deputy Chairman of the KSCA Petro Olenich, who received 2 months of arrest with a pledge of 15 million UAH (later left the pre -trial detention center).
- The chairman of the land commission Mikhail Terentyev, who was also arrested with a pledge of UAH 19 million.
Meanwhile, Komarnytsky, who is considered a key figure in the corruption system in Kiev, did not just avoid his arrest, but was able to escape abroad after the operation.
Bihus.info journalists released conversations recorded by law enforcement officers, where Komarnitsky coordinates the activities of Kiev officials. Investigators have been able to identify many of his people in the capital - but none of them have been suspected.
Now NABU and SAP will have to find out not only who helped Komarnitsky to escape, but also who hinders the suspicion of his "team" in Kiev. But the very fact that the main suspect in corruption schemes was able to leave Ukraine quietly, raises even more questions about the state of the law enforcement system.
If law enforcement officers did not really help him, they should now find guilty and show the country who "opened the border" for one of the main corrupt officials of Kiev.
