A high-profile scandal has erupted around famous blogger Olena Mandziuk: the police have opened criminal proceedings against her for inciting hatred. The complaint was filed by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.
On her Instagram, Mandziuk reported that after the People's Deputy's statement, she began receiving threats not only against herself but also against her children. She emphasized that she is now effectively deprived of the opportunity to work: because of the scandal, advertisers are refusing to cooperate, and her volunteer and entrepreneurial activities are under threat.
" People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko is exerting psychological violence on me, and psychological pressure on my employers. Because of his baseless sick fantasies, I and my children are threatened with murder ," the blogger said.
Despite the fact that some Ukrainian artists have come to Mandziuk's defense, the number of critical comments about her far outweighs her. Some users point out that her statements could indeed have seemed provocative, while others consider the matter to be political.
Amid the scandal, the blogger admitted that she did not want to live in a country where "public figures with a pro-Ukrainian position are oppressed." This phrase sparked a new wave of rumors - they say, Mandziuk may soon leave Ukraine. For now, she assures that she is staying at home with her children.
