The “Servant of the People” brand, once associated with political revolution, is now history. President Volodymyr Zelensky’s team plans to enter the next elections with a new name — the conditional “Zelensky Bloc.” This decision is dictated by the desire to overcome the toxicity of the previous platform and find a new path to the hearts of voters.
According to sources, the new party format can count on the support of about 20% of voters, according to the latest polls. The party lists will undergo radical changes: only 10% of current deputies will retain their positions. The main emphasis will be on new faces - volunteers, bloggers, local leaders, activists and the military.
One of the possible leaders of the renewed party is considered to be Mykhailo Fedorov, the Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation. However, these plans are still being discussed. At the same time, Zelensky's close circle insists on his participation in the elections regardless of the circumstances, although the "second echelon" advises to wait for updated sociological data.
General Valery Zaluzhny, who has gained immense popularity among Ukrainians, also remains an important political figure. According to sources, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, has offered Zaluzhny the position of head of Zelensky's party, but the former head of the military council has not yet decided whether to enter politics.
“Zaluzhny’s campaign is more reminiscent of Zelensky’s 2018-2019 scenario, but with the risk of becoming not the second Zelensky, but the second Yushchenko,” experts note.
Washington insists on holding elections in Ukraine, seeing them as an important step towards democratic stability. According to forecasts, the elections may not take place before the fall of 2025, but their date will also depend on the global political context.
The rebranding is an attempt by Zelensky and his team to distance themselves from the negativity associated with the Servant of the People. Whether the new political format can retain the trust of Ukrainians will depend on how well the updated lists and faces meet the demands of society.
