The American airline company Boeing and the Ukrainian company "Antonov" signed a memorandum on potential cooperation in the production of drones for the military needs of Ukraine. The agreement, signed as part of the Farnborough International Air Show 2024, includes training, logistical support and repair of tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), in particular the ScanEagle model, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The agreement identifies the following areas of potential cooperation: training, logistical support and overhaul services for tactical unmanned aerial systems used by the Armed Forces, including ScanEagle. In addition, the companies will also study the possibilities of providing "Antonov" with engineering support to Boeing.
We are happy to continue our cooperation with DP "Antonov" to support the development and economic growth of Ukraine. This agreement demonstrates our ongoing efforts to find new opportunities for cooperation with Ukrainian industry, which was highlighted by our signing earlier this year of the Agreement on Cooperation with the Defense Industrial Complex of Ukraine,
Yevgeny Gavrylov, CEO of Antonov State Enterprise, said that this agreement could contribute to the further development of Ukraine's defense industry, "in addition to the possibility of future projects with Boeing in the aerospace and defense industry."
State concern "Ukroboronprom" opened its first foreign representative office in Washington, with the aim of strengthening cooperation with the US defense industry, attracting investments, promoting the transfer of technologies and implementation of joint projects.
