Salary debt in Ukraine is growing sharply

As of the beginning of August 2024, more than 34,000 cases of salary debts were registered in Ukraine, which is 7.1% more than for the whole of last year. This data was made public by the Opendatabot service.

According to the information, 1,872 companies owe their employees. The most debts are accumulated in the following regions:

  • Sumyshchyna - 5.6 thousand proceedings.
  • Kyiv - 3.4 thousand debts.
  • Dnipropetrovsk region - 2.2 thousand debts.

In particular, Oblavtodor's various subsidiaries account for 9.7% of the total number of salary debts. The largest share of debts among enterprises is recorded in the Sumy Machine-Building Scientific and Industrial Association , which is responsible for 11.8% of the total amount of debts.

At the same time, in the first half of 2024, more than 18,000 new companies opened in Ukraine. Of them, 69.5% or about 12 thousand are limited liability companies (LLCs).
