As of July 2025, more than 170 thousand people in Ukraine are in the Unified Register of Debtors due to non -payment of alimony. These are persons who do not comply with the court decision for more than three months. They are all under the control of the bodies of the state executive service, the Ministry of Justice reports.
The most debtors are recorded in the following areas:
-
Dnipropetrovsk - 24 753 persons
-
Kharkiv - 13 673 persons
-
Donetsk - 11 643 persons
-
Zaporizhzhia - 11 334 people
-
Odesa - 9 173
In the first half of 2025, the State Executive Service has collected over UAH 7.6 billion of alimony, which is 30% more than in the same period of 2024.
Up to almost 150,000 debtors have been applied for compulsory measures of influence, in particular:
-
prohibition of traveling abroad
-
Restriction in the right to drive transport
-
Restriction of weapon use
-
arrest of funds and property
The Ministry of Justice calls on debtors not to bring the situation to compulsory measures and reminds that regular payment of alimony is a duty, not goodwill.
