At the beginning of May 2025, the debt of Kyiv residents for consumed electricity reached a record 1.2 billion hryvnias. This is more than 220 million more than in the same period last year. About it reports energy company Yasno.
Despite the growth of debts, the company does not currently plan mass power outages for non -payers. Instead, they promise to strengthen the information campaign to remind consumers of the need for calculations.
In particular, Yasno actively informs debtors through electronic accounts, paper payments with the specified amount of debt, messages in SMS and Viber, as well as automatic voice calls (IVR). In the absence of a response to warning - a written message is sent through Ukrposhta.
The company emphasizes that if the debtor does not pay off the debt within 10 days after receiving the written warning, the power supply will be suspended.
Despite the difficult economic situation, Yasno urges Kyivans to accumulate debt so as not to stay without light at a critical time. At the same time, the company emphasizes that it is counting on customer integrity and does not plan to rigid sanctions.
