Ukrainian military brigades are currently only 40-60% staffed. This alarming statistic was voiced by MP Halyna Yanchenko on Vechir.LIVE . She emphasized that this issue is one of the most pressing for fighters on the front line.
“I myself visit the 'zero' from time to time, communicate with our boys and girls. For them, the number one issue is the replenishment of brigades. On average, the replenishment is 40-60%. People get tired, it's difficult for them,” said Yanchenko.
The military, she said, emphasizes the need to strengthen their units, which would allow them to more effectively carry out combat missions.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously emphasized that the slow staffing of brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is one of the key reasons that allow the Russian occupation forces to achieve tactical successes in the east. The insufficient number of fighters also affects the ability to rotate units, which significantly complicates the conduct of hostilities.
Yanchenko called for more rapid reform of processes related to staffing, emphasizing that this issue requires immediate attention.
“Our boys and girls need help and, from time to time, a replacement,” she added.
