Currently, Ukrainian military brigades are only 40-60% manned. People's deputy Halyna Yanchenko voiced such alarming statistics on Vechir.LIVE . She emphasized that this issue is one of the most acute for frontline fighters.
"I myself from time to time visit ground zero, talk with our boys and girls. For them, the number one issue is the additional staffing of brigades. On average, the completion is 40-60%. People get tired, it's difficult for them," Yanchenko said.
According to her, the military emphasizes the need to strengthen their units, which would allow them to perform combat tasks more effectively.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi previously emphasized that the slow staffing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brigades is one of the key reasons that allow the occupying forces of the Russian Federation to achieve tactical success in the east. The insufficient number of fighters also affects the ability to rotate units, which greatly complicates the conduct of hostilities.
Yanchenko called for a more prompt reform of the processes related to assembly, stressing that this issue needs immediate attention.
"Our boys and girls need help and from time to time - replacement," she added.
