The UK government is increasing its assistance to Ukraine in the fight against Russian air threats by supplying additional consignments of ammunition for air defense systems (ADF). This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the country, Grant Shapps, through his official account.
He expressed his belief that today's massive missile attack is "a desperate and futile attempt by Putin to regain the initiative against the backdrop of catastrophic losses for the Russian military." Shapps emphasized Britain's determination to send additional aid, stating that "we continue to stand by Ukraine."
The Minister of Defense said that hundreds of missiles will be sent today to replenish the arsenal of British air defense systems. These systems are extremely accurate and can effectively shoot down Russian drones and missiles.
Shapps called on other allies to join the effort and expressed hope for further unity and support for Ukraine in the context of the deployment of large-scale missile attacks by the Russian Federation.
