The chief sergeant of the company of the unit of the Armed Forces, known by the call sign "Hockey", warned about the threat of the seizure of the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region by the Russian occupation forces. According to Hockey, if the battle for this city takes place, it will last much longer than the battle for Bakhmut.
According to him, the capture of Pokrovsk will allow the enemy to penetrate into the rear of several other settlements, and some of them may be surrounded. Pokrovsk is important as a logistics center for the Defense Forces, so the battle for it is considered necessary.
The military emphasized that the Ukrainian defense forces have almost no time left to prepare for this battle, but despite this, they are ready to resist. After the capture of Avdiyivka by the Russians, the front moved forward, new directions emerged - Pokrovsky and Kurakhivskyi.
Accordingly, the breakthrough of the front became possible due to a number of factors, but among them were unusable defensive structures dug in the field itself. "Hockey" called for the evacuation of the civilian population from the frontline cities, including Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Kurakhove, as they may be at risk if the situation worsens.
