At this time, the city of Kyiv , despite opposition from the community, adopts a budget that does not prioritize the development of a barrier-free Kyiv, the creation of a network of shelters, investments in critical infrastructure and, most importantly, support for the armed forces.

One may get the impression that Kyiv lives in a world separate from the country, when, leveling the requirements of the time, the needs of the community and elementary human dignity, those who for years "share the budget" never understood that the enemy is not only a neighbor, but also corruption. with which you need to fight just as desperately.
They say bad habits die hard. The main bad habit of the authorities in Kyiv is to "master" citizens' taxes, based on their own, completely inappropriate situation not only in the country, but also in the world, vision and personal interests.
And at this time, people do not have the opportunity to find shelter in shelters, there are not enough of them, or the condition is unsatisfactory, Kyivans are dropped off from public transport during an air alert, leaving 2 options: to freeze on the street, or to transfer to minibuses, which fall apart during movement, are closed people with disabilities at home, because they cannot freely move around the city.
Somehow those who supported this budget don't care how a person who has lost limbs as a result of this terrible war will use public transport that is full to the brim, because of subway accidents that are the result of a lack of adequate investment in operation and the encouragement of aggressive development, will end up on the bus , or simply cross the street, which gives one possibility - an underground passage. Why doesn't the mayor care about the barrier-free situation in the city? The city budget does not resolve the situation with honoring and burial of the fallen defenders, their rehabilitation and psychological support.
This is again the budget, which representatives of the deputy corps are used to dividing among themselves and who continue to live in an illusory reality, thinking that the war is somewhere far away and does not affect their interests in any way. Will the new interchange and road that destroys the Osokorka Ecopark save Kyiv from the enemy? Is this what the taxpayers who make the budget really want?
Instead of protected areas, next year we can expect kilometers of roads and concrete jungles, among which everyone who supported this budget will live their carefree lives, while someone is freezing in a trench, at a rally in defense of the Osokorka ecopark, or standing in a queue to the old, yellow bus.
With the personal support of the mayor, because nothing happens in this city without his consent, the capital authorities have made the surface gloss of the city a cornerstone for themselves, voting for their reality to the accompaniment of air-raid sirens.
The mayor and the majority of the Kyiv City Council did not choose a joint victory in the war, which the city of Kyiv should become a part of, but a personal victory in the elections and traditional enrichment.
What awaits us next? Rallies under the walls of the Kyiv City Council, which will gather more and more Kyivans, my hard work, my colleagues who, like me, will not support this shameful budget, to change it during the adjustments. And doubts, doubts of partners about the expediency of financial support for a country that its capital does not want to support.
Kyiv could be an example for other cities, how to be a component of victory, but it became an example of what kind of budget cannot be accepted during the war.
"Cities must live their own lives" - Volodymyr Prokopiv, head of the "European Solidarity" faction, explained the expediency of such a budget with this phrase. I don't think that the people of Kyiv agree with this! Cities must live a life in which the main thing is victory, because without it there will be no cities!
