March 2025 will bring a number of important holidays, both international and national, celebrated in Ukraine. Here are some of them:
- March 1 is Civil Defense Day. This day aims to remind people of the importance of civil defense in emergency situations.
- March 2 is World Adolescent Mental Health Day. The holiday focuses on raising awareness about youth mental health.
- March 3 is World Hearing Day. The goal of the holiday is to raise awareness about hearing preservation.
- March 4 is World Day Against Sexual Exploitation. It is a day to raise awareness about crimes against women and children.
- March 5 is World Day of Prayer. Believers pray for peace and justice for all.
- March 8 is International Women's Day and Land Surveyor's Day in Ukraine. This day is dedicated to the fight for equal rights for women, as well as professionals working in the field of land surveying.
- March 9 is Taras Shevchenko's birthday. The poet's enormous contribution to Ukrainian culture is celebrated.
- March 14 – Ukrainian Volunteer Day. A holiday in honor of defenders who joined the army of their own free will.
- March 16 is Housing and Communal Services Workers' Day. This is a holiday for the people who support the life of our cities.
- March 20 is the Vernal Equinox and World Earth Day. It marks the beginning of astronomical spring and care for our planet.
- March 24 is World Tuberculosis Day.
- March 25 is the Day of the Ukrainian Security Service.
- March 26 – Ukrainian National Guard Day.
- March 27 is Nephrologist Day, a holiday for doctors specializing in kidney treatment.
- March 30 – Eid al-Fitr, an important Muslim holiday that marks the end of the month of Ramadan.
Weekends in March 2025: Due to martial law, no additional weekends are provided. However, this does not cancel the existence of holidays, and most men traditionally give flowers to their significant other on March 8th.
