On Friday, June 6, a car explosion occurred in the Berezivskyi district of the Odessa region, killing one person. According to unofficial sources, the deceased was the acting military commissar of the Berezivskyi district territorial center for recruitment and social support (RTCC and SP).
The press service of the Odessa regional police reported the incident at around 5:30 p.m. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the car explosion resulted in the death of one person, with no other casualties. An investigative and operational group, a forensic laboratory, and investigators from the regional police department were sent to the scene. The causes of the explosion are currently being established.
According to law enforcement sources, the deceased was on vacation, meaning he was not performing his official duties at the time of the tragedy. Local residents reported that the explosion occurred while the car was still standing, and the fire engulfed only one car.
This is not the first explosion involving the military. Recall, on May 29, an explosion occurred near the car of another CCC employee in the Kharkiv region, resulting in the loss of a serviceman's hand.
The investigation is investigating all the circumstances of the incident in the Odessa region, as well as the versions of a possible deliberate explosion or technical malfunction.
