In Ukraine, gas and gasoline prices are expected to increase due to new changes to the Tax Code. The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance has supported the relevant changes aimed at approximating Ukrainian legislation to European Union norms in terms of excise tax.
The committee supported project No. 11256 on increasing excise taxes on fuel. It also shared the schedule according to which the increase will take place, informs the Telegram of the People's Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
Therefore, diesel fuel rates will increase from 139.5 euros to 177.6 euros. This will lead to a 1.95 hryvnia increase in the price of diesel at gas stations.
Rates for autogas will increase from 52 to 165 euros - this will lead to a rise in the price of diesel at gas stations by 5.8 hryvnias.
“But the situation with the excise tax on gas is very interesting. The Ministry of Finance does not know how it happened that at the last moment they decided to increase the excise tax on gas in different ways. There is a significant increase there. During the search for documents, it turned out that the increase on gas was proposed by “UkrNafta”. More precisely, Rostyslav Shurma. Instead of the excise tax on the detective of 70 euros - it will be 277 euros,” Zheleznyak noted.
