The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported the decision to early terminate the powers of MP Iryna Kormyshkina. This means that in the near future her place in parliament will be taken by the next candidate on the list of the political party from which she was elected.
This was announced by People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, noting that possible candidates for the vacant mandate are already known.
On February 25, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a decision to terminate the deputy powers of Iryna Kormyshkina. 246 people's deputies voted for this. What was different from other similar cases was that Kormyshkina personally spoke before the conclusion of the mandate.
With her departure, 400 people's deputies remain in parliament. The Servant of the People's party has a single majority of 231 votes.
According to the electoral lists of the “Servant of the People”, the next candidate for entry into the Verkhovna Rada is:
- Inna Sverba (No. 148 on the list).
- Serhiy Melnyk (№149).
- Yulia Paliychuk (No. 150), however, according to preliminary information, she has already renounced her mandate.
The last People's Deputy who entered the Rada on the list of "Servant of the People" was Oleksandr Tararin (#147).
If one of the candidates refuses, the seat of the People's Deputy will be given to the next person on the party list.
As a reminder, Iryna Kormyshkina (Allahverdiyeva) is suspected of illegally enriching herself by over 20 million hryvnias, while her official income for this period and savings amounted to less than 3 million hryvnias. Law enforcement officers are also considering a case of intentionally declaring knowingly false information.
