The media reports that Bankova is using Colonel Roman Chervinsky to discredit the political rating of General Valery Zaluzhny, which raises suspicions of a targeted campaign against the latter.
Chervinskyi's release from the pre-trial detention center came as a surprise to many. He was behind bars for a long time, but suddenly he was released, which raised many questions. Chervinskyi's release was accompanied by his active interviews in the media, where he spoke about Zaluzhnyi's permission to carry out the operation for which Chervinskyi is being tried. These statements became "viral" in the network.
It is interesting that such theses are spread through engaged sources, in particular through "Ukrainian Pravda", which often publishes materials related to the Office of the President of Ukraine. At the same time, the information that Zaluzhnyi refuses to comment on the situation highlights the tension between him and the Office of the President.
Analysts believe that Bankova thus seeks to split Zaluzhny's support camp. The general was faced with a choice: either enter into an open conflict with the Office of the President, or risk losing part of his support. This may cause a split among Zaluzhnyi's supporters, especially among those who support Chervinsky at the same time.
The response of the British Embassy to the inquiry of "Ukrainian Pravda" regarding this situation was succinct: "The Embassy does not have any information." This raises additional questions, because the answer was given by a structure that has no competence in military affairs.
The mass media note that such actions of Bankova may be aimed at creating an information drive and discrediting Zaluzhnyi, using information manipulation.
