The court of Kremenchuk decided to deprive a man of his liberty for three years for evading mobilization, after he was found fit for military service. This was reported by the press center of the Poltava Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC and SP).
According to the case file, in February 2024, the military medical commission of the Kremenchug hospital declared the man fit for service. However, he disputed the decision, claiming that he suffers from asthma and hypertension. In this regard, he refused to receive a summons to be sent to the training center and did not appear at the specified time at the TCC.
This became the basis for drawing up an act of refusal to receive a subpoena, after which the documents were handed over for criminal investigation.
At the trial, the man pleaded guilty, admitting that he was afraid to get to the front line, but this did not change the sentence - three years of imprisonment.
The press center of the TCC also noted that this is not the first case in the Poltava region when individuals are given real terms for evading mobilization.
