According to journalist Volodymyr Boyk, the criminal investigation related to the evasion of military service by the head of the Anti-Corruption Center Vitaliy Shabunin has been sabotaged for four months.
According to Boyk, the investigation into Shabunin was initiated by his statement in December 2023, but since then the case has remained dormant. In April 2024, the court demanded that the territorial administration of the SBI in Kyiv immediately begin a pre-trial investigation into Shabunin's voluntary departure from his place of service.
Boyko suggests that such a delay may be related to the close relationship between Shabunin and the deputy director of the DBR, Roman Olefirenko.
"Is it possible that you ordered not to investigate the case against Shabunin and even forbade him (investigator - note) to comply with the court's decision?" - Boyko is interested.
He also stated that they were introduced by former NABU director Artem Sytnyk, with whom Olefirenko is not only friends, but also has an apartment nearby in the center of Kyiv.
We would like to remind that the SBI is investigating two criminal cases against Shabunin - for evasion of mobilization and forgery of NAKC documents.
Earlier, ex-Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun admitted that the actions of Ukrainian anti-corruption agents in the West contradicted the interests of Ukraine during the war, which led to the fact that partners do not provide military aid to Ukraine now.
