Ukraine pays great attention to a rational and strategic approach to receiving weapons from the West, noted the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat.
Despite the active support of allies , Kyiv refrains from a rapid increase in armaments, as this could become a reason for aggressive reactions from Russia .
The spokesman indicated that Ukraine's partners are informed about the costs of missiles and their use. Each request for a new batch of shells is formed and considered confidentially, without public announcements.
Ignat explained that the situation is similar with weapons such as F-16 aircraft. The delay in receiving their contingent is determined by the readiness of the entire infrastructure, including pilots, service personnel and the airfield base. The introduction of aircraft into the military system will be carried out when all the necessary components are ready.
"The rational approach is to get equipment when there is a readiness to use it effectively. This approach maximizes the benefits of new weapons and ensures safety," Ignat emphasized.
