The State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion of four servicemen of one of the parts stationed in the Kiev region. According to the investigation, the soldiers deliberately refused to go to the area of hostilities, despite their suitability for service and the current command order.
As noted in the DBR, their behavior is radically different from the actions of the brothers who have performed the order and continue the service on the front line. The investigation found that the defendants did not have objective reasons for refusal and acted consciously, violating the military oath and the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine.
The suspect is charged with violation of Part 4 of Art. 402 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - disobedience in the conditions of martial law. Currently, all four are taken into custody. If the blame is proven, they are threatened with up to ten years in prison.
The DBR emphasizes that the constitutional duty of every citizen is to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The evasion of the execution of orders during the war is regarded as a crime, regardless of the position or rank of serviceman.
The investigation is ongoing.
