Despite the spread of various rumors about possible personnel changes in the government, for now all plans regarding reshuffles in the Cabinet of Ministers have stopped. According to "Telegraf" sources in the government offices, Bankova is not seriously considering the resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the beginning of July. However, in general, the situation with the Cabinet of Ministers is rather complicated.
Currently, the government has vacant ministerial positions in five ministries: the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Ministry of Veterans, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Policy.
For a better understanding of the situation: Rostislav Karandeev holds the position of acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy already within a year, while Matviy Bidny, whose trial period expired at the beginning of this year, remains not appointed to the full position of Minister of Sports.
The lack of personnel appointments is explained not only by the difficulty of finding candidates, but also by the lack of government reform, which Prime Minister Shmyhal announced together with the President of Ukraine.
In the Office of the President and the government, the question of merging the Ministry of Sports with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy remains on the agenda. However, at the moment, a candidate for the position of Minister of Culture has not yet been found.
Sources close to Matvyi Bidny reported that "everything will be decided after the Olympics." They also clarified that it is planned to conduct social surveys in order to better organize the process of merging the specified departments.
According to our data, the search for candidates for positions in two more ministries continues - the Ministry of Regional Development and the Ministry of Infrastructure, which were promised to be separated after the dismissal of Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Among the candidates for the post of head of the Ministry of Regional Development is the name of the current deputy head of the Office of the President, Oleksiy Kuleba. The Ministry of Infrastructure, as reported by a deputy from the SN leadership, is considering the candidacy of Oleksandr Pertsovsky. He currently heads the passenger department and is a member of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Pertsovsky stated that he has other career plans: "I am responsible for passenger transportation of UZ and plan to continue working in this direction."
It should be noted that the previous candidate, Oleksiy Chernyshov, the chairman of the board of Naftogaz, was excluded from the list of potential applicants due to a high-profile scandal with NABU, a source in the government says.
Recently, information appeared in the mass media that Volodymyr Zelenskyi is considering the possibility of replacing the current prime minister with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko. This is one of the candidates that is actively discussed in the context of possible changes. One of the sources confirms that the appointment of Svyridenko has already been resolved, although representatives of the presidential administration deny this insider.
After the resignation of Oleksandr Kubrakov and Mustafa Nayem, an information campaign against Denys Shmygal began. Rumors are spreading about the government's unfinished financial settlement with businessman Maksym Shkil, the owner of the Autostrada company, which specializes in the construction of protective structures at energy facilities. The school accuses Shmygal of stopping funding for the protection of third-level energy facilities against missile strikes.
While the official representatives of the president call to pay no attention to these conversations, noting that there are currently no discussions about changes in the government, some deputies hint that "there is no smoke without fire."
