US Presidential Administration Donald Trump has declared its intention to start negotiations with the participation of Ukraine, Russia and other parties to resolve the war. Trump representatives emphasize that compromises on both sides are required to achieve peace, but in Ukraine such an initiative is doubtful.

Donald Trump said his team was working on organizing negotiations between Kiev and Moscow.
“We are dealing with Ukraine and Russia. We have planned meetings and negotiations with different sides, including Ukraine and Russia. And I think these discussions are going well, ”Trump said.
A special representative of Trump on Ukraine and Russia Kit Kelloggus stated that in order to reach the arrangements, both parties will have to make concessions.
“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already made it clear that he would soften his position on territories. And Putin will also have to soften his position, ” said on Fox News.
According to him, the proposed settlement plan involves ceasefire and elections.
In his turn, the adviser to President Zelensky on communications Dmitry Lytvyn skeptically assessed Kellog's position, saying that this approach was not enough to end the war.
“I have not seen Kellog's interview completely. But if his plan for the settlement of war is just a ceasefire and election, then it is a failing plan, ”Lytvyn said.
He explained that only these steps will not change the Kremlin's behavior, and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will continue to use the situation in his favor.
