In Ukraine, point emergency shutdowns of electricity caused by regular blows of the Russian army appeared again. Although the situation is controlled, Ukrainians fear that with the onset of frost can return hourly schedules. However, experts say this can be avoided by doing two key conditions.
Volodymyr Omelchenko, Director of the Razumkov Center, notes that the electricity situation is currently stable, but the impact of Russian attacks has a cumulative effect. Each new blow increases the risks of large -scale disconnection, especially during the cold.
Steps to avoid graphics
The expert believes that you can avoid returning to the planned schedules of shutdowns if you provide:
- Increasing electricity imports. This will help to compensate for losses from energy infrastructure damage.
- Energy savings. It is especially important to reduce the consumption of electricity in peak hours - from 17:00 to 22:00. It is at this time that the load on the system is most.
"If household consumers and industry use electricity as carefully as possible, we will be able to go through winter without schedules of planned shutdowns," Omelchenko emphasizes.
So far, the Ukrainians are rescued with favorable weather. In December and January, the temperature was abnormally warm, and this avoided serious overloads of the system. “I do not remember such warm December and January. This is a unique weather phenomenon, ”Omelchenko emphasized.
However, he warns: it is too early to rejoice. February frosts and March cold can be a real test.
Ukrainian energy has already shown its sustainability, but the threat of new attacks remains relevant. Experts emphasize that every Ukrainian can contribute to the stability of the system, minimizing consumption during critical hours.
Two factors play a decisive role: weather conditions and consumption. If all efforts are aimed at saving and stabilizing, Ukrainians have a chance to go through this winter without mass shutdowns.
“February and March are ahead. The hardest thing is to come, ”Vladimir Omelchenko summed up.
