Closing of arteries and heart attacks often result from high cholesterol. And the main reason for this dangerous condition is nutrition - in particular, excessive consumption of foods with saturated fats.
When "bad" cholesterol (LDL) accumulates in the blood, it is deposited on the walls of the vessels and eventually forms plaques. This complicates blood circulation, increases blood pressure and creates a risk of heart attack.
To avoid such complications, doctors advise to give up or significantly limit the following products in the diet:
-
Milk and White Chocolate
-
Baking, buns, pies
-
Cakes, puddings, cookies
-
Bily red meat
-
Sausages, sausages, bacon
-
butter, margarine, fat
-
coconut and palm oil
-
fatty dairy products (cream, cheese, milk, yogurt)
These products have a high content of saturated fats that contribute to the growth of "bad" cholesterol.
What to eat instead
Instead, it is best to add useful alternatives with unsaturated fats to normalize cholesterol:
-
olive, rapeseed, sunflower oil
-
chicken or turkey without skin
-
legumes, nuts
-
Low -fat dairy products
-
Hummus, vegetable sticks
-
dried fruits
-
dark chocolate
It is also important to monitor general calorie, drink enough water and regularly undergo preventive examinations. Remember: healthy eating is an investment in the heart.
