On Tuesday, February 24, cloudy and wet weather will remain in Ukraine. Rain is expected in most regions, with sleet in places, but the temperature background will remain relatively mild for this period.
According to weather forecasters, the average air temperature across the country will range from -1° to +3°. It will be warmest in the south and west - there the thermometer will rise to +3°…+7°.
It will be cloudy in Kyiv throughout the day. At night, about -1° is expected, during the day — up to +3°. Light wet snow with rain is possible.
Rainy weather will prevail in the western regions. In Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk, the night temperature is forecast to be around 0°, during the day - +4°. In Uzhhorod, the air will warm up to +7°. In Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi, precipitation in the form of wet snow with rain is possible, the daytime temperature will be +2°…+4°.
In the central regions — Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions — it will also be cloudy and humid. The temperature at night is about 0°, during the day — +2°. In Poltava, -1°…+1° with wet snow and rain are forecast.
In the north of the country, in Chernihiv and Sumy, the temperature will drop to -1° at night and rise to +1° during the day. Light wet snow with rain is expected.
In the eastern regions, it will be slightly colder at night. In Kharkiv, the forecast is up to -3°, in Dnipro - up to -2°, in Kramatorsk - up to -2°, in Severodonetsk - up to -3°. In the afternoon, the air will warm up to +1°…+4°. Rain will prevail, with wet snow in places.
The highest temperature will remain in the south of the country. In Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson, daytime temperatures are expected to reach +7°, in Zaporizhia - up to +5°. Rain is forecast throughout the day.
It will also be cloudy in Crimea. In Simferopol, the temperature will be +1°…+7°, rain is possible.
Thus, despite the wet and cloudy weather, forecasters do not predict a significant cooling. Temperatures will remain close to zero or higher, which will contribute to the transition of precipitation into a mixed phase - rain with sleet.
