Oleksiy Lanchenko, former head of the 169th training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the town of Kozelets and head of the headquarters department of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, escaped punishment for official forgery. This information was obtained from the verdict of the Kozelets district court of Chernihiv region under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In 2007, the colonel ordered printed materials (methodical materials) from an individual entrepreneur for almost 50 thousand hryvnias. Despite the fact that the goods were not received, Lanchenko deleted the order to the head of the financial and economic service to pay for the ordered products. He also included false information in the official document, on the basis of which payment was made for state funds, although the methodological literature was never delivered to the center.
At the court hearing, Lanchenko denied his guilt in committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He explained that he signed the document automatically, convinced that the goods had been received. However, he refused to answer questions from the prosecutor and the victim's representative.
The court found Lanchenko guilty of committing a criminal offense and imposed a fine of 850 hryvnias on him, as well as deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational, managerial and administrative and economic functions for one year. In accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the court released Lanchenko from serving the prescribed sentence due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal liability.
