Already in May, the Verkhovna Rada will receive a number of laws aimed at creating systematic preparation of civilian population for resistance to the aggressor. This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk, noting that it is not just about changes in the legislation, but about the creation of a new national resistance ecosystem.
According to Vereshchuk, the work on the laws was conducted with representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the command of the territorial defense forces, the Ministry of Education and Public Organizations. The initiative was discussed at the President's office and was supported at the highest level.
“We create a new ecosystem of preparation of the entire civilian population for resistance to the enemy. It's not just about men's military training. It's about the readiness of the nation, ”Vereshchuk emphasized.
In April, the Cabinet of Ministers has already adopted a resolution on the creation of centers of preparation of citizens for national resistance, although the document itself has not yet been published. These centers, by design, should appear in each region of Ukraine and become platforms for training of the population in crisis and military situations.
Preparation will cover different directions: from the basics of tactical medicine and self -defense - to the rules of conduct during shelling, interaction with military and prompt response in the face of threat.
This set of measures is considered as a condition for the survival and sustainable functioning of the state in the conditions of a long military threat. Vereshchuk noted that the foundation is laid for years ahead - with the sight of the safety of future generations.
