In the people this day has long been considered special for forecasts for spring and harvest. We tell you what the important holiday is, what signs say, and what is better not to make on this date.
Who was holy antipa
Antipa was a student of the Apostle John the Theologian and a bishop in Permis (the territory of modern Turkey). During the persecution of Emperor Nero, he refused to renounce the Christian faith. For this he was thrown into a hot copper cauldron, but he, according to legend, died without torment - like in a dream. The place of his burial was the place of pilgrimage and healing, especially from toothache.
Antipus is considered the patron saint of dentists and people with teeth problems. It is he who pray for healing.
