"Dancing on the Bones": "Dancing with the Stars" comeback sparks a wave of controversy

Famous producer and TV presenter Yuriy Gorbunov, who recently showed his sons online, hinted at the possible return of the legendary TV project "Dancing with the Stars." The topic of the show's comeback became the subject of heated discussion in the new episode of the #nistidanisovisti program, where it was discussed by hosts Yevhen Feshak, Artur Adamov, and Natalia Tur.

According to Yevhen Feshak, "Dancing with the Stars" could well appear on the air again and he would be happy about such a return. At the same time, as the host noted, the audience's reaction on social networks was far from unanimous. Some commentators sharply criticized the idea, calling the possible comeback "dancing on bones" and reproaching that during a full-scale war, entertainment formats of such a scale look inappropriate.

Feshak's colleague, host Artur Adamov, was also skeptical about the idea. He recalled that even the show "The Voice" had to be moved to Poland due to the impossibility of organizing safe live broadcasts in Ukraine. According to him, the format of "Dancing with the Stars" is also tied to live performances and real-time voting, which significantly complicates its implementation in the current conditions.

In turn, Natalia Tur did not agree with the harshest accusations that are being made about the possible resumption of the project. She recalled that despite the war in Ukraine, humorous and entertaining programs are already being released, and viewers need emotional "windows" for rest and reboot. In her opinion, the new season of "Dancing with the Stars" could be built on more lyrical, sensual productions that reflect people's experiences during wartime, and not just on classic entertainment.

As a result, the hosts agreed that if the show were to return, it should have a clear social mission. Yevhen Feshak noted that it would be right if such large projects combined entertainment with a socially important goal — for example, raising funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, helping the wounded, displaced people, or children affected by the war.

So far, the return of "Dancing with the Stars" has not been officially announced, but the very appearance of this topic in public discussion and Gorbunov's hint indicate that Ukrainian television is gradually seeking a balance between wartime reality and the viewers' need for quality emotional relaxation.
