Vinnytsia's tax office shaken by corruption scandal

In Vinnytsia region, law enforcement officers detained Yaroslav Okhrimovsky, the chief state inspector of the litigation support department of the State Tax Service, for receiving an illegal benefit. The bribe amount was $1,200.

According to journalist Serdych, the detention took place as part of an investigation into criminal proceedings related to corrupt actions by State Tax Service officials. Details regarding the circumstances of the bribe are currently being clarified.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that the case will be transferred to court after all necessary procedural steps are completed. Okhrimovsky himself is currently under investigation.

This case became another signal about the need to strengthen control over the activities of civil servants and combat corruption in the field of taxation.
