In Kropyvnytskyi, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation detained an officer of the regional territorial center for recruitment and social support, who is suspected of organizing an illegal scheme to receive funds from conscripts.
According to the investigation, the official set up a system of so-called "paid services" for men of draft age. The amounts depended on the desired result and the level of "service.".
In particular, $6,000 was the cost of removal from the wanted list and release after forced delivery to the CCC. Up to $20,000 was the cost of registration of a reservation from mobilization or change of status to limited fitness. From $20,000 was the cost of complete exclusion from military registration “on a turnkey basis.”.
As law enforcement officers established, on February 19, 2026, the serviceman received a second tranche of $20,000 from another client for booking. After being exposed, he tried to escape and almost ran over law enforcement officers, but was detained.
The investigation is currently ongoing. Law enforcement officers are identifying other possible participants in the scheme and verifying how many people may have used the illegal services.
