The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has announced its intention to investigate General Sodol’s actions in the context of allegations regarding his conduct and possible violations. This became known after Azov representative Krotevych made statements regarding the general’s actions, which, according to him, require investigation.
This is reported by the media, which reviewed the department's response to the "Azov" Krotevych.
The State Bureau of Investigation responded to Krotevych that his statement on the facts of possible abuse of authority and incompetent command of troops by the commander of the Khortytsia Military District, Yuriy Sodol, was considered and, based on the results of the processing, was attached to the materials of the factual criminal case regarding the circumstances of the Russian military breach of the border in the Kharkiv region, which, among other things, provides a legal assessment of the actions of the military command of the Khortytsia Military District during the planning and conduct of defensive operations in the entrusted direction.
The Bureau promised the Azov representative that the circumstances he outlined would be verified.
Krotevych himself stated on the social network X the day before that he was “not satisfied with the SBI’s response.”.
“The lawyers’ work continues, I am grateful to everyone who supports me. I ask the military not to be afraid to give testimony (including non-public ones), we will not back down,” the “Azov soldier” added.
Earlier, MP Mariana Bezugla made a loud statement, accusing General Yuriy Sodol of the breakthrough of Russian occupation troops into Toretsk, Donetsk region. She noted on Facebook on June 21 that because of this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost the positions they had held since 2014. The next day, June 22, Bezugla published a new post, where she reported that during the breakthrough, General Sodol was allegedly in the “Oblaka” restaurant in Odessa and was drinking alcohol. She added a corresponding photo to the post.
According to her, the Odesa generals' party is a broad, circular responsibility for the Russian duskhok, it's about military commissars Borisov, Kivalov and Zaluzhny, about Kovalchuk, who was responsible for the south in 2022. Currently, the former commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Sodol (he was drinking in Odessa when the offensive on Toretsk took place) and the former head of the operational-tactical group of troops "Kharkiv" Yuriy Galushkin, who were responsible for defense in the Kharkiv direction, are currently undergoing "treatment/examination" in the Dnipro at the VMCC of the Eastern Region.
