In Kyiv, the State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an accident involving a serviceman that killed a woman and injured two of her children, the SBI press service reported on Monday, December 29.
According to preliminary data, on December 27, a mother with two young daughters and their aunt were on their way to visit their relatives for the holidays. At the intersection of Akademik Zabolotny and Ivan Sirko streets, the car in which the family was traveling stopped at a red traffic light. At that moment, an SUV driven by a serviceman who violated traffic rules crashed into the car at high speed.
The front-seat passenger died at the scene as a result of the collision. Her two young daughters were hospitalized, but their lives are not in danger, doctors said.
The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting investigative actions to clarify all the circumstances of the tragedy and establish the responsibility of those involved in the accident.
