The SBI accuses the Zaporizhia military commissar of exceeding his official powers

The Zaporizhian military commissar will be put on trial for organizing a corruption scheme with military payments to subordinates.

According to the DBR, as the head of Zaporizhzhia OTCC, he sent his close subordinates to one of the brigades of the Armed Forces ostensibly to carry out combat missions.

The soldiers were not assigned to positions in the unit, did not take part in battles, and were actually in the front-line zone for no reason. They were there as if on vacation, lived according to a free schedule and even had the opportunity to go home for the weekend. However, the servicemen received increased payments and the opportunity to acquire the status of combatants, according to the message.

As a result, more than 1 million hryvnias were awarded to seven servicemen who did not take part in hostilities.

Now the former military commissar is accused of exceeding his official powers, committed under martial law, under this article the term is a maximum of 12 years.
