DBR suspects the mayor of Irpen Alexander Markushin in illegal crossing persons across the border

The State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) announced the suspicion of mayor Irpen Alexander Markushin in committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is about organizing the illegal crossing of persons across the state border of Ukraine .

According to Mistoinform, as Irpen mayor, he has forged the documents of the Native Village Charitable Foundation, providing departure from Ukraine to his COU Sergei Rosstal - the chief contractor for the reconstruction of Irpen, whose firms received UAH 500 million for the reconstruction of the affected housing.

On January 24, the court elected Markushin a pre -trial detention measure, and on January 27, he removed him from the post of mayor of Irpen. Markushin is a person involved in 18 criminal proceedings, including illegal imprisonment and torture people, fraud, forgery and theft of local budget funds of the destroyed Irpen. In criminal proceedings in which Markushin appears, he threatened witnesses, released them and destroyed documents and evidence as mayor.

The election of Oleksandr Markushin, removed from the post of mayor of Irpen, prevents the pre -trial detention facility from his part on more than 50 employees of the executive committee of the Irpin City Council, who during 2024 gave a testimony to Markushin in law enforcement agencies of different levels.

Using his official position, Marcushin systematically exerted pressure on witnesses, having removed two deputies of the mayor, who testified in criminal proceedings. He dismissed the deputy mayor, and to other witnesses numbered knowingly less salary. At the same time, there were threats of witnesses, demonstrating them materials of criminal proceedings and "wishes" to give up testimony with the hints of witnesses that "everything is under control in the prosecutor's office."
