The State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) revealed one of the heads of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service (State DPS) in the Sumy region assets for millions of hryvnias, the origin of which has no reasonable grounds.
It is about Artem Snezhka, who until recently performed the duties of the chief of the State traffic police in Sumy region.
According to the investigation, Snezhko illegally seized assets for over UAH 7 million. The court has already seized the car Lexus RX 350 2022, worth UAH 3.1 million, which was actually used by his wife. However, the car is recorded on a stranger, which may indicate an attempt to hide the property.
Also, four real estate objects (three apartments and parking space) were arrested with a total value of UAH 3.9 million. All of these objects are registered with the mother of the official, indicating the possible concealment of wealth.
Despite the criminal proceedings and suspicions of illegal enrichment and laundering of income, Snezhko continues to hold a high position in the State traffic police in Sumy region.
Although the NAPC, DBR and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) have already collected enough evidence for criminal prosecution, the tax service is not taking any measures. Instead, according to sources, the DPS management covers the official, giving him the opportunity to hide behind hospital and vacations.
Earlier, the DPS leadership was indicated by the need to release Snezhk, but it was never done. The corruption resource that he possessed probably became a temptation even for his direct guidance.
Detected assets can be the basis for complete removal of the official and subsequent lawsuits. The public and law enforcement officers expect that the STS of Ukraine will finally respond and will not allow the official to avoid responsibility.
If the fact of illegal enrichment is proven in court, Snezhk is threatened with real prison imprisonment in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
