The State Bureau of Investigation has reported a large -scale corruption scheme in the Dnieper: two law enforcement officers are suspected of systematically removing data on evasion from the official search base. According to the investigation, they took from one to two thousand dollars from each person.
In total, more than 850 people were searched for evading mobilization from the base. So the attackers could earn more than one million USD.
According to the GBI, one of the defendants of the case - a woman - is already in the detention center. Where exactly the suspects worked, the department is not disclosed, referring to the secret of the investigation.
Law enforcement officers are suspected of unauthorized interference with automated systems, official forgery and corruption offenses. A full range of persons who could be involved in the scheme or use their services is established.
The investigation is ongoing. The GBI emphasizes that during martial law, such actions undermine national security and trust in state institutions.
