Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) announced suspicion against three persons who illegally transported People's Deputy Artem Dmytruk across the state border of Ukraine to unrecognized Transnistria. Information about this was published by the press service of the DBR.
According to the law enforcement officers, as a result of a thorough investigation, including the questioning of witnesses, the analysis of voice and Internet connections of mobile operators, as well as the study of traffic routes, it was possible to establish the details of the transfer operation.
On August 23, Dmytruk illegally crossed the state border in the direction of Moldova through the "Pavlivka" checkpoint in the area of responsibility of the "Velika Komarivka" border service department of the DPSU border detachment. The organizers of the transfer carefully planned the "operation", including several stages of moving the deputy.
According to the investigation, Artem Dmytruk left Kyiv around one o'clock in the afternoon in a car driven by another person. With the help of video surveillance on the Kyiv-Odesa highway, questioning the driver and working out the operational versions, it became known that the deputy left the car on the highway near the settlement of Rozdilniansky district of Odesa. Around five o'clock in the evening, he got into another car, which took him to the border. After that, he illegally left Ukraine on foot.
The SBI confirmed that all participants in the operation, including the organizer of the scheme, were identified. The organizer has a wide range of connections both among law enforcement officers and in criminal circles. According to operational data, this group was involved in the systematic illegal transportation of persons across the state border.
The next day after the crossing, the organizer and one of the participants fled to the Transnistrian part of Moldova.
The SBI reported suspicions to three participants in the illegal transportation of persons across the state border under Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Two suspects were charged in absentia, and one suspect was detained. Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for him is being resolved.
