The Ukrainian military public service Deep State has confirmed that Russian troops have advanced into the village of Stelmakhivka, Luhansk Oblast. This confirms information received the day before from the Russian Ministry of Defense about the capture of this settlement.
However, judging by the map of the Ukrainian public, the enemy does not fully control its territory, although it was able to reach the western outskirts, cutting through the Ukrainian defenses to the north and south of Stelmakhivka.
At the same time, the Russians have advanced further north - in the area of Peshchanye. Moreover, the advance is not towards the Oskil River, which is five kilometers away, but to the south.
And judging by the configuration of the map, the Russian Federation may try to push Ukrainian troops out of the southern flank of its offensive towards Oskol. Probably with counterattacks from the direction of Peshchane and Stelmakhivka.
